Ensco plc (NYSE: ESV) brings energy to the world as a global provider of offshore drilling services. We are the industry leader in customer satisfaction with the second largest offshore drilling fleet. We have an uncompromising commitment to the safety of our employees and the environment and the highest ethical standards. The fleet includes seven drillships, 13 dynamically-positioned semisubmersibles, seven moored semisubmersibles and 49 premium jackups.  Ensco’s operations span six continents and our rigs have drilled some of the most complex wells in virtually every major offshore basin around the globe.

Our customer base comprises leading integrated energy companies, national oil companies and many independent operators. Working around the clock, our employees consistently exceed customer expectations with high-quality equipment, proven systems and consistent application of time-tested procedures. Safety and operational excellence are our highest priorities and we adhere to strict ethical standards.

We are an English company with our headquarters in London and we manage our business through five regions: North and South America (excluding Brazil); Brazil; Europe and the Mediterranean; Middle East and Africa; and Asia and Pacific Rim.

Highlights
We have the youngest fleet of ultra-deepwater rigs, more active premium jackups than any other driller and moored semisubmersibles.

Ensco’s drillships are equipped with some of the most technically-advanced well construction features available in the offshore drilling industry, including advanced systems for hoisting, blowout preventer handling, drilling and mud controls, and station keeping. Our ultra-deepwater semisubmersibles include the ENSCO 8500 Series®. The proprietary design of these rigs was developed with extensive input from customers to address the drilling requirements of virtually every deepwater field around the world. Rated for work in 8,500' of water, the rigs can be modified to operate in water depths up to 10,000'. The uniform design streamlines operations across all of the 8500® Series rigs to control costs and enhance reliability for customers.

Ensco’s 49-rig premium jackup fleet is one of the largest and most capable in the world. We continue to execute on our long-established strategy of high-grading our fleet by investing in newer equipment. Since the beginning of 2005, Ensco has invested more than $1 billion in our jackup fleet. In addition, we have committed more than $700 million to build three new ultra-premium harsh environment jackups that are enhanced versions of the KFELS Super A design.
